In a few days, many of us will sit down with loved ones and give thanks – commemorating our country’s early history and first harvest. As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving in our own personal ways, let me offer my thanks to you: our parents, students, and staff, for supporting our efforts in so many ways.

Thank you parents, for being a partner in children’s educations. Your time modeling, reinforcing, and listening to children – as well as your time maintaining expectations for them – greatly impact their success in both school and life. Thank you for supporting us in keeping our school a safe place.

Thank you for your time. In today’s world, we know that time is a precious commodity. Your commitment before and after school hours, at school conferences and various school traditions and events is appreciated. It makes a difference.

Thank you for recognizing that in all life’s jobs, the “human factor” exists. When we make mistakes, despite our best efforts, your understanding and continued trust are important to us.

Thank you students, for working hard and learning not giving up when learning gets tough. Thanks for striving to be your best self. Your kindness toward others and help to your classmates, schoolmates, and teachers makes our days brighter.

Thank you staff, for providing engaging and meaningful lessons to our students. Thank you for your own love of learning. Because you maintain such safe and nurturing classrooms, our students learn and try hard and take risks.

Thank you, students, parents and teachers, for your love of and devotion to Felida Elementary. Our hard work together helps make this school such a special place.

Happy Thanksgiving, Falcon family,

Kris Janati
